4. Jermaine Kearse

Kearse will be a very interesting case to watch. On one hand, he has never been more than his team’s second receiver, sitting behind Doug Baldwin and earlier in his career, behind Golden Tate as well. Kearse has never caught more than 49 passes or amassed more than 685 yards in a season, but he has improved each year.

Kearse is well known because he plays for the Seattle Seahawks, a team that went to consecutive Super Bowls. He also has a knack for making the clutch catch, as shown in the NFC Championship Game last year. Kearse provides good hands and nice route-running, something that Alex Smith found in Jeremy Maclin this year.

Dorsey won’t want to spend a truckload of money on another receiver. He’s already paying Maclin on a five-year, $55 million deal. At this juncture, Dorsey simply needs to find a nice compliment if he believes that neither Chris Conley or Albert Wilson can fill that role at the present time. Kearse is also just 25 years old, so he is just entering his prime.

Contract offer: 4 years, $19 million ($9.5M guaranteed)
