Cleveland Browns: The Browns have traded running back Terrance West to the Titans for a conditional sixth-round draft pick.  While the quarterback history is well-documented in Cleveland, many people forget that the team’s history with running backs has been equally tragic of late.

The Browns have another major problem, as offensive line coach Andy Moeller has been suspended following charges of sexual abuse.  The Browns have also waived wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, despite reports that he had been looking good in camp.  The Browns made the move to claim running back Robert Turbin…who is out for at least the next month with injury.

  • Chiefs’ take: If the Chiefs do decide to trade either Chase Daniel or Knile Davis, one would have to believe that Cleveland is a prime candidate.  That front office has to be getting close to desperate given the history of short leashes that coaches and general managers have had there.

Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys have made a much-anticipated move at running back by trading for Seattle’s Christine Michael.  Michael was once viewed as the man who would replace Marshawn Lynch, but he has yet to develop the necessary skill set to be on the field consistently.

Chiefs’ take

: Finally this nonsense of the Cowboys trading us La’el Collins for Knile Davis can be put to bed.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos have released guard Ben Garland.  Garland became expendable after the team signed veteran Evan Mathis.  However, Garland was never considered one of the weak links on the offensive line.  Denver has also released running back Montee Ball.  Ball has reportedly received interest from Atlanta and Cleveland.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have shown their front office shrewdness once again by signing wide receiver James Jones.  Jones will be coming in to help fill the hole left by Jordy Nelson’s injury.  The Packers have done this before with quarterback Matt Flynn who left to sign a big contract in Seattle where he didn’t start a single game.  He would eventually return to his same backup job in Green Bay.

  • Chiefs’ take: The Chiefs kicked the tires on James Jones at one point, but it appears they are moving forward with their young group of wide receivers.
