Dwayne Bowe Is The Receiving Corps

As of late, Dwayne Bowe has been on fire, which is fitting, because if he rescued fans from a burning building, a quarter of them would suspect he started it.
Honestly, I don’t know what causes the undying disdain for No. 82. Is he the most sure-handed wideout? No. Does he have Mach-like speed? Far from it. Is he overpaid? Probably.
But rewind to 2013, then tell me which wideout was a better match.
Greg Jennings is older, injury-prone and averaging fewer yards per game. Mike Wallace? Fewer yards per game, $10 million more guaranteed and his game doesn’t fit with the offense. Everybody else is either a slot option or incomparable.
Bowe netted eight receptions for 93 yards today; the rest of the team recorded nine for 84.
The Chiefs’ primary receiver is a punching bag. The others are punch lines.
The difference? Numbers—none of which include a dollar sign.
