Houston makes R. Lee Ermey look like Gomer Pyle. He’s a scythe-less Grim Reaper who could shove Deebo into an XL locker.
That being the case, it was no surprise that Kaepernick suddenly remembered how to slide last Sunday. (If Houston was chasing me, my mind would be telling me “sweep the leg”; my heart would be telling me “stranger danger!” I can’t knock a slide.)
Kansas City’s edge-rushing phenom headlines the league (alongside Ryan Kerrigan) with six sacks. He recorded one last Sunday—Kaepernick slid behind the line of scrimmage to negate two others—as well as five quarterback hurries.
Currently, Houston is PFF’s No. 1 3-4 outside linebacker.
