2013 Stats: 4 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, two interceptions
Met with Chiefs: Yes

It is interesting the Chiefs would be talking to Van Noy given he is a late first, early second round pick in pre-combine mock drafts. He’s 6-3, 244 pounds, and played outside linebacker for BYU. He’s almost certain to go to a team who plays a 34 defense.

Strength is an interesting question for Van Noy because he’s not considered to be a physical guy on the field. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t make a lot of plays as his noted for being a smart kid. But there are scouts who wonder if he is tough enough physically to meet the first and second round hype.

Noy is also not a very fast guy, so it would be surprising to see him at the top of any of the speed drills. Again, he’s noted for his savvy and ability to do the little things. However, if he surprises people with his athleticism at the combine then he’ll probably be off the board by the time KC has a pick.

One last thing on Noy: He’s an interesting candidate to be picked in the second round if the Chiefs trade down from number 23 overall. Remember, the Chiefs met with him at the Senior Bowl.
