Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill believes that with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, the team could have the best offense in the NFL.

Tyreek Hill said on Monday what many in Chiefs Kingdom have been thinking this offseason: that the offense could be truly special for Kansas City in 2018.

Specifically, when Tyreek Hill was asked by reporters about the team’s potential in 2018, the Chiefs top wide receiver spoke confidently that there’s nothing keeping the entire unit from being the very best in the National Football League. Hill said:

"I feel like this offense can be the best offense in the league. We can take the top off of every defense that we play. We have Kareem (Hunt) in the back, we have Pat slinging it around. We have me, Sammy (Watkins), Kelce, Chris (Conley), (Demarcus Robinson). Our offensive line protecting. Our offense can be the best in the league. We just have to put all the pieces together."

The primary switch on offense comes at quarterback where the Chiefs have moved on from Alex Smith after five seasons as the team’s starter under center. Now Patrick Mahomes has been given the keys to the offense, and he brings with him a much stronger arm. To supplement a downfield passing game, the Chiefs also brought in wide receiver Sammy Watkins in free agency to be another top-tier, downfield threat. He’s also someone who can provide serious mismatches in the end zone.

Hill himself is a major part of that equation, as he led the Chiefs with 75 catches for 1,183 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns last season in his first year atop the depth chart. Hill’s year of experience running routes and focusing only at receiver should work wonders in year three after averaging 15.8 yards/catch in 2017.

The Chiefs already had one of the NFL’s most potent offenses without Watkins and with Smith in 2017. Given how young everyone is, another year of experience and a stronger arm at quarterback could be enough to vault K.C. into the conversation for most feared offense in the NFL.
