Dwayne Bowe’s season could be over.
And so could his time in Kansas City.
It looks as though what we’ve feared all day is coming to fruition. According to Pro Football Talk, Bowe’s rib injury will send him to injured reserve and end his season.
Per league source, Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe has multiple broken ribs and will be placed on IR.

The report is being corroborated by other sources as well.
The official announcement from the Chiefs will likely come tomorrow. Tuesday is usually the day teams will announce roster moves. Expect the Chiefs to send Bowe to IR and to promote one of their practice squad players to the active roster. There will also likely be a signing.
This also could spell the end of Bowe’s time in KC. He has no contract for next season. Unless Scott Pioli or whoever the Chiefs GM is should Pioli be fired, signs Bowe to a new deal before free agency (or uses the franchise tag on him), Bowe will likely be playing elsewhere in 2013.
