Report: Chiefs Sign Jeff Allen

According to Howard Balzer of 101 Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed second round draft pick Jeff Allen.

The report isn’t official until the team confirms the deal. If it is true, Allen will join Devon Wylie, Cyrus Gray, Jerome Long and Junior Hemingway who have already inked deals.

I have to say, I am loving the speed with which these deals are getting done. It was so lame waiting to see if first round picks, who had never played a down of NFL football, would sign before the start of training camp. While the Chiefs haven’t locked up Dontari Poe yet, chances are his deal won’t be hard to settle on. We have the new rookie wage scale to thank for that.
