Should KC Fans Be Rooting For The 49ers?

At the time this post is hitting the site, the 49ers have jumped out to an early 17-0 lead on the New Orleans Saints. These two teams are polar opposites. The Saints have one of the most high-powered offenses in the history of football and are led by a Hall of Fame QB in Drew Brees who just broke Dan Marino’s record for passing yards in a season. The 49ers by contrast rely on their great defense, solid running game and a QB that protects the football.

There has been a lot of debate lately about which path the Chiefs should take going forward. Some say the Chiefs MUST get a franchise QB at any cost. Others have said the Chiefs are closer to becoming a team like the 49ers and should focus more on the offensive line and defense. If the 49ers can hold on and beat New Orleans, should that give KC fans hope that the current path the Chiefs seem to be on could lead to playoff wins?
