Man, has Jason Whitlock done it this time. I was left dumbfounded by his latest piece, a Fox Sports column in which he claims that this NBA postseason has done so well because the Conference Finals involved less tattoos than usual. Is this guy fucking serious? Possibly the five most-popular players in the league–LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Shaq and Carmelo Anthony–have tats. Four of those five have heavy, heavy ink. Other than Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade and Kevin Garnett, almost all of the NBA’s other American-born superstars have tattoos. Even Tim Duncan has a tat.
What does this have [...]

Net Loss
Damn, it feels good to be back, Chiefs fans.
After a successful and rather painless move to my new stomping grounds–Austin, TX–I had no idea what was in store for me. Congress deals with less red tape than I had to in order to get my effing Internet connected. Us bloggers and Web junkies don’t talk about it all that often, but getting and staying connected to the Net is a royal pain in the ass sometimes. The telecom companies have too much control and too little concern for their customers. And temporarily borrowing Internet from a neighbor isn’t really an [...]
All-Time Chiefs Defense
Every few years, I like to go through my spreadsheet of my personal all-time Chiefs team. So, I thought I would share it and get some reactions. As always, let’s go through some of my ground rules/philosophy.
1] Only time spent in a Chiefs’ uniform counts. What a player did before he played for the Chiefs (see Roaf, Wille) or after (see Smith, Neil) is not a part of my evaluation.
2] Football styles change over the years. So, using stats to measure worth is not the best form evaluation. [...]
Random Thought For The Day
I mused in my previous article whether or not Dorsey and/or Albert will both be in camp on time, what with CP’s penchant for playing hardball with first round picks. Now that he has two to deal with, it should make for an interesting and hopefully not sad couple months leading up to training camp.
A thought occurred to me, and I’m going to go on record right now and say that Glenn Dorsey will be in camp before Branden Albert. WHAT? That’s right, write it down and pin it up somewhere.
Here is my reason; We all know what Dorsey is-a two time [...]

Let me first start by wishing you all a save a fun Memorial Day, and since many of you won’t be reading this article until Tuesday let me also say I hope you had a safe a fun Memorial Day. All I ask is that you please don’t lose site of the true reason for this day and remember those that have made it all possible-Veterans.
All right, I’m going to keep this one short and sweet since I have a cook out and birthday party combo happening today. So here are a couple of thoughts to get the conversation going [...]

Jared Allen Hates Long Bus Rides
The biggest concern for Jared Allen when he faces his former team is the long bus ride.
“It’s like a three-hour bus ride, so that’s not going to be cool,” Allen said after Tuesday’s organized team activity at Winter Park.
Jared also had a few things to say about his former team.
Laughing, Allen added, “Everybody is a good guy over there. They have a bunch of young guys, so we’re going to put a whooping on them. … I don’t circle it or anything. Players over there and the coaching staff over there had nothing to do with the move. It worked [...]
