The Kansas City Chiefs need a serious talent influx on the offensive side of the football. The run game was inept during the 2025 NFL season, and an aging Travis Kelce cannot lead the team in receiving by a wide margin. That is not a recipe for success.

Rashee Rice is an obvious player who needs to step up, but the Chiefs have to be concerned about the constant headaches concerning some nefarious decisions off the field. Xavier Worthy hasn't been what he was billed to be, and both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown are free agents this offseason. Tyquan Thornton also can't be the answer, and he's scheduled to hit the market as well.

Is it time for Brett Veach to check in with the Miami Dolphins about a reunion with Tyreek Hill? Well, he may not have to, actually. Hill has been operating on social media this week as if he knows he'll be a free agent, as he seemingly entertained the idea of following Mike McDaniel to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Hill followed up that cryptic social media post with a nearly identical message, but this time it was about the Chiefs hiring back Eric Bienemy as the offensive coordinator..

Bienemy was Kansas City's offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2022, which means that he coached Hill for four seasons. Outside of an injury-riddled 2019 campaign, Hill had his three most productive seasons with the Chiefs when Bienemy was helping run the offense.

Hill has to know that, given his contract and the situation that the Dolphins find themselves in, he is likely to be cut or traded this offseason. Veach and the Chiefs should make a push to bring Hill back home, for both nostalgia's sake and to improve the offense.

Is Hill the same player that he was when he left Kansas City? Certainly not. His production has slowly tapered off in the last few seasons. He is coming off a brutal injury, and he is not getting any younger. But is he still an upgrade for the Chiefs right now? That answer is a likely yes.

Hiring Bienemy felt like Andy Reid wanting to re-establish who the team was in the crux of its dynasty. If they want to truly get the band back together, Hill is behaving like he knows he'll be available.
