Zay Jones took his fourth free agent visit on Thursday when he spent the day at Arrowhead Stadium on a reported visit with the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the latest stop for him after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it's clear it was the last stop he needed to make before coming to a decision on a new home.

ESPN reporter Adam Schefter has word that that Jones has signed a deal to play for the Arizona Cardinals.

The Zay Jones, er, sweepstakes is over and the wideout has decided to play for Arizona.

Jones was released earlier this month following the 2024 NFL Draft in which they were able to draft Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round out of Ohio State, giving them a new top-tier target on the boundary. Given the presence of Christian Kirk and their shiny new deep threat in Gabe Davis, there weren't enough targets to go around to justify Jones's cost in the third year of a deal he'd signed back in 20212

In his first season in Jacksonville, Jones had a breakout campaign with 82 catches for 823 yards and 5 scores. Unfortunately injuries limited him a year ago to only 9 games and his productivity dropped by every metric as a result. The Jags made wholesale changes to the entire unit, not unlike the Chiefs, and suddenly Jones was expendable.

Jones has been taking multiple free agent visits before deciding on his next team with the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals before visiting the Chiefs. He now joins newcomer Marvin Harrison Jr. as part of a major overhaul to the Cards' receiving corps.

Jones entered the league as a second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills. In seven seasons in the NFL, he has 3,028 receiving yards, 287 catches, and 18 touchdowns.
