"We Are Nothing Without a Rookie QB" Tier

29. New York Giants
30. New England Patriots
31. Washington Commanders

From Sam Howell to Daniel Jones, these teams sorely need a new quarterback in this week's NFL Draft. Washington created the All-Old team, adding Bobby Wagner, Zach Ertz, and Austin Ekeler on short-term deals this offseason. Those players could help a new quarterback, namely Jayden Daniels, have an easier time transitioning to the NFL.

New England is beginning a new era of football, ushered in by Jerod Mayo. He has a big hoodie to fill in Massachusetts, but he doesn't have the roster to start winning immediately. The Patriots entered this offseason with plenty of cap space but failed to make the headline moves the fanbase needed to see.

The Giants do not have Saquon Barkley to save their offense anymore, and Jones and Drew Lock fighting for the starting quarterback job doesn't offer hope. Brian Burns does give New York an elite defensive front on paper, but that is the only thing going for that team.

"We Picked the Wrong QB" Tier

32. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are not scaring anyone heading into the 2024 season. The team, led by new head coach Dave Canales, must first not beat themselves before they can beat another team. They do not have a first-round pick this year after trading up for Brych Young, who they need a big sophomore jump from. They are not rising anytime soon, but they could show signs of life with a savvy draft class.
