Patrick Mahomes skyrockets to favorite in MVP odds with Tua Tagovailoa
Despite losing on Opening Night, it only took us to Week 6 for no other team in the NFL to have a better record than the Kansas City Chiefs.
A big reason for that has been the play of the reigning MVP, Patrick Mahomes, who has once again been arguably the best player in the NFL.
In fact, at FanDuel Sportsbook, Mahomes is listed as the new betting co-favorite to win back-to-back MVPs alongside Tua Tagovailoa.
NFL MVP odds
So far this season, Mahomes is completing 68.3% of passes for 265.5 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.
His quarterback rating (95.7) is still a bit lower than last year's mark of (105.2), but I think we can all agree the Chiefs offense hasn't shown its best stuff yet this season. At some point, the team is going to get rolling.
If Mahomes' numbers are still this good when their offense isn't playing the best, just imagine what kind of numbers he's going to post when they do start bringing their "A" game on a weekly basis. It's a scary thought!
