NFL Power Rankings, Week 14: Eagles, Chiefs losses shake up the top

Another week of NFL football has come and gone. This week, we learned a lot about some of the teams at the top of the NFL. The Packers knocked off the Chiefs at Lambeau, the Eagles got throttled by the 49ers at home, and the Cardinals stunned the Steelers.

Today, we take another look at all 32 NFL teams. Who's up? Who's down? We discuss the Week 14 NFL power rankings.

1. San Francisco 49ers (9-3)

Last week: 2 (+1)

It's no secret that the NFL's best team is the San Francisco 49ers. Brock Purdy may not be the NFL's best quarterback, but right now, it does not matter. This team is chock full of superstars, and there is a case to be made that this is one of the most talented teams in NFL history. For my money, they deserve to be Super Bowl favorites.

2. Baltimore Ravens (9-3)

Last Week: 4 (+2)

3. Philadelphia Eagles (10-2)

Last Week: 1 (-2)

Philadelphia, for the first time since opening week, is not the top team in our power rankings. This, of course, is due to getting whooped at home by the 49ers. While the game started in a manner that would have led viewers to believe that the Eagles had a chance, it quickly became clear after the second half started that the Eagles had no shot.

4. Dallas Cowboys (9-3)

Last Week: 5 (-1)

Dallas had their first remotely difficult matchup in some time when they matched up with the Seahawks this week. Although they couldn't stop Geno Smith and DK Metcalf the entire game, the defense stepped up and made a big play on the Seahawks' last chance drive. Again, the Cowboys need to prove that they can truly beat good teams, but for now, we will keep them high in the rankings.

5. Kansas City Chiefs (8-4)

Last Week: 3 (-2)

The Chiefs' Super Bowl hopes are starting to slip from their grasp. All year long they have been underwhelming. Still, somehow they have been one of the top teams in the AFC. At this point, they have a lot of issues that need to be ironed out. Will they be able to flip the script at the end of the season? It's starting to look far-fetched.

6. Miami Dolphins (9-3)

Last Week: 7 (+1)

Miami is now in a great position for the playoffs. Right now, Baltimore is at the top of the AFC, but the Dolphins are at their heels. Furthermore, they hold their destiny in their own hands when it comes to positioning against the Chiefs. Tyreek Hill should legitimately be discussed in the MVP conversation.

7. Detroit Lions (9-3)

Last Week: 8 (+1)

The Lions look more vulnerable than they did to start the season on defense. With that in mind, they have some tremendous pieces on the offensive side of the ball. This week, they hung on to defeat the Saints after jumping out to a huge lead. I'm not saying that the Lions are in trouble by any means, but they are not the world-beater that I believed them to be at the beginning of the season.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)

Last Week: 6 (-2)

Trevor Lawrence went down with a scary-looking ankle injury and it's not clear when he will return or be back to functional. With that, and the shocking home loss to the Bengals, the Jaguars have quite a bit to figure out going forward.
