As if there was going to be any question that a player who just won the Most Valuable Player Award for the most recent season in the National Football League was going to be rated anything but the highest possible number, the folks at EA Sports made it official on Friday. Patrick Mahomes is a 99.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has enjoyed a banner year, from being the regular season MVP to the Super Bowl MVP to adding a second championship ring to his arsenall. He was not only an All-Pro and Pro Bowler but he also won the ESPY for best male athlete just a few weeks ago.
On Friday, EA Sports dropped the news on Twitter:

The wins do keep coming for Mahomes and that's a great way to put it.
Since bursting onto the scene as the Chiefs' full-time starter in 2018, Mahomes has redefined the quarterback position with his exceptional talent, poise, and football IQ. His arm strength is legendary, delivering awe-inspiring throws that seem to defy the laws of physics as he makes plays that make fans gasp or laugh out loud in response. He's already a first-ballot Hall of Famer and yet he's only now entering his prime years for the Chiefs.
Last year, Mahomes had 41 touchdown passes with 12 interceptions as he completed over 67 percent of his throws for 5,250 passing yards. He led the league with a 308 yards/game average and a QBR of 77.6.
