The Kansas City Chiefs were relatively quiet on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, During two full rounds of action, as the numbers went from No. 33 overall to 100, the Chiefs held a single pick coming into the day and they stayed at that total throughout the evening.

As it turns out, the one player they did select is going to be a fan favorite.

The Chiefs made a minor move to trade up a single spot with the San Francisco 49ers to secure Brigham Young University offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia for their front line at No. 63 overall. It only took a few minutes to realize how much Chiefs Kingdom is going to like this kid.

It's clear that everyone in Chiefs Kingdom, including the team's coaches, is ready to love Kingsley Suamataia.

During his introductory presser with reporters, Suamataia allowed his infectious personality to shine through. Check out the clip below in which Suamataia mentions his chance meeting with Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones as he came through during Suamataia's official pre-draft visit.

Yeah, that's a perfect impression of Jones and a clear sign that he's going to have reporters eating out of his hand as such a natural storyteller and personable athlete.

Fortunately, Suamataia is not just a fan favorite but a coaching favorite as well. Check out the introductory phone call when the Chiefs called the BYU product to tell him he was being selected by Brett Veach.

During Veach's part of the conversation above, he told Suamataia, "I wish you were in the draft room with us. Coach Reid was sweating for like ten picks because you know the two things most important to him are offensive linemen and BYU graduates. So I was happy we were able to check both those boxes."

Gotta love a guy who is already so beloved by the front office, coaching staff, and now fan base. We get the feeling that Suamataia is going to be a favorite around K.C. for quite some time.
