7. Leslie Frazier

Frazier served as the Eagles' defensive backs coach from 1999-2002, being with Reid from day one. Like other POC coaches on this list, Frazier had to move around the league before getting a head coaching chance.

Frazier served as the Vikings' interim head coach after they fired Childress in 2010. The Vikings finished the season on a 3-3 run under Frazier, offering some encouragement for the following season. Minnesota named him the full-time head coach ahead of the 2011 season.

During his tenure with the Vikings, Frazier faced some challenges. In his first full season as head coach, the team finished with a 3-13 record. However, Frazier led a historic turnaround in the following season, guiding the Vikings to a 10-6 record and a playoff berth in 2012. This success was largely attributed to the exceptional performance of running back Adrian Peterson, who nearly broke the single-season rushing record.

Despite the playoff appearance, the Vikings struggled in the subsequent seasons, resulting in Frazier's dismissal as head coach following the 2013 season. His coaching style was often praised for his focus on discipline and establishing a positive team culture. After his time with the Vikings, Frazier served as a defensive coordinator for several NFL teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills.
