We're now a month into the NFL season which means its time for us to move on from the Super Bowl win by the Chiefs and start to focus our attention on the 2024 campaign and their attempt to be the first team to win three straight.

Sportsbooks have begun to release odds for the upcoming season including what each team's projected win total is. Is Kansas City expected to once again be a top team in the AFC? You betcha.

Let's take a look.

Taking a look at the Chiefs' projected win total for the 2024 NFL season including how they stack up with the rest of the league.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs' win total set as the highest in the NFL at 11.5. The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers also have their win totals set at 11.5, but the Chiefs are the only team in which the "OVER" is the favored side at -122.

If you translate those odds to implied probability, the Chiefs have a 54.95% chance of winning at least 12 games in 2024. That's extremely an extremely promising outlook for a team seeking their third-straight Super Bowl win.

The Chiefs have already gotten off to a great start to their postseason, re-signing the likes of Chris Jones and Drue Tranquill while also signing receiver Marquise Brown to a very affordable deal at $11 million.

Then of course there's Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City is always going to be in a great spot to rack up wins when they have the best quarterback in the NFL.

The Chiefs also have a relatively easily schedule for a division winner as well. Their 2024 opponents had a combined win percentage of .502 in 2023. That's largely due to them getting to play the easiest division in football, the NFC South, in 2024. That should go a long way in them reaching at least 12 wins.
