Cornerbacks (6)

Kentucky• L'Jarius Sneed
• Trent McDuffie
• Joshua Williams
• Jaylen Watson
• Kahlef Hailassie
• Nic Jones

The Chiefs suffered a few injuries to the cornerback group that paved the way for a few young players to make the roster. Jones is currently dealing with an injury but showed enough in camp and in preseason to keep for 2023. Hailassie, the undrafted Western Kentucy product, has been one of the few bright spots among the young players on that side of the football. He's likely to be poached if the Chiefs cut him and try to sneak him through waivers.

Safeties (4)

• Justin Reid
• Bryan Cook
• Deon Bush
• Chamarri Conner

There was never much to discuss in the safety group. The top three players have been locked in since the Chiefs offseason program began. The final spot goes to perhaps the most exciting and consistent young player in Kansas City's rookie class. It'll be exciting to see what Conner is able to accomplish in his debut NFL season.
