3. The running backs
All Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Jerrick McKinnon enjoyed a fruitful afternoon last Sunday. That typically happens when you are blowing a team out, but the trio made the most of it. They combined for 163 total offensive yards and four touchdowns.
They will have that opportunity again this week, with the Jets being 22nd in the league, allowing over 129 rushing yards per game on defense. Stylistically, this game could favor a more balanced approach from the Chiefs as well.
With the Chiefs only allowing 13 points per game so far and the Jets only averaging 14 points on offense, Kansas City might not need to score much. The Chiefs might be able to put up 21-24 points and still win this game pretty comfortably. Big Red will probably save the playbook a bit in this one, relying on the run game and check-downs out of the backfield.
