The time is now. Everyone is at Allegiant Stadium. Fans are filing into their seats. Players are going through their pre-game rituals. Usher is somewhere probably doing vocal warm-ups himself. In just a few hours, either the San Francisco 49ers or Kansas CIty Chiefs will be making confetti angels on the field and hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.

For the 49ers and Chiefs, there are some important pre-game decisions to make regarding which players they want to go to battle with against the other, which means we're keen to see the inactives list for each team to see who is active and who is not.

For the Chiefs, we already knew coming into the weekend that one major name would be on the team's inactive list: Joe Thuney. The offensive lineman has been out with a pectoral muscle injury since suffering it during the team's win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round three weeks ago. Thuney was held out of the AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens as well but hoped to play in Super Bowl LVIII given the extra week to rest. Alas, that was not the case when he was declared out on the Chiefs' final injury report.

The other name to watch for Kansas City coming in was running back Jerick McKinnon, a player who was designated as questionable on the injury report. McKinnon is a well-rounded back who has been a postseason hero in years past for the Chiefs, but a groin injury has kept him from putting up much production at all in 2023. The Chiefs finally got word on Sunday afternoon that he will play.
