The latest and final injury reports are out from both the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, and there are some real concerns and questions for the defending champs coming into Super Bowl 58.

For the Chiefs, the injury report has officially removed an All-Pro from the offense and placed a cloud of uncertainty over another contributor as Andy Reid's team will have to move forward against the Niners' defense nonetheless.

The biggest loss for the Chiefs on the injury report comes with the news that left guard Joe Thuney won't be able to suit up after all. The team's best offensive lineman is regarded as perhaps the best at his position in the NFL, and he's an ironman veteran who anchors the protection up front for Patrick Mahomes.

Unfortunately, Thuney suffered a chest injury during the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round and was forced to leave the game. From there, subsequent tests revealed a triceps injury that would force him to miss the AFC Championship as well. With two weeks to rest before the Super Bowl, the hope was that Thuney could recover in time to play, even in part, but he was declared out..

In addition, Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon, who has been sidelined by a groin injury that got him placed on injured reserve, is still in the process of coming back. He's been termed as "questionable" so he'll be a game-time call for the active list of players for Super Bowl 58. As for other injury designations, the Chiefs did not activate offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho off of injured reserve, which means the backup tackle roles will be held down by Wanya Morris on the left and Lucas Niang on the right side.
