That's exactly the opposite of what anyone wants to see early in the preseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to score on their first drive of the preseason in their opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the one thing on everyone's mind is the loss of wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on the series.

The Chiefs went to Brown for an early completion on the drive from Patrick Mahomes, but it wasn't long before he was holding onto his shoulder and heading to the sidelines.

The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping that Marquise Brown will be okay after going back to the locker room with an injury.

As the Jaguars took the field, the Chiefs were sending Brown back to the locker room to work with medical staff and trainers to receive treatment. He's been designated as questionable to return.

Brown is a vital piece of the offensive puzzle for the Chiefs, having signed a one-year deal in the offseason to come in and head up the wide receiver room after a disappointing season all around at the position in 2023. For Brown it was also a chance to build up his own free agent value and re-enter the market next spring.

The Chiefs have praised Brown all through offseason training activities, minicamps, and training camp and he's developed a nice chemistry with Mahomes early. However, now all eyes will be on any potential injury in this first game and hoping he will be okay soon.

Brown had 51 catches for 574 yards and 4 touchdowns last season for the Arizona Cardinals.
