Round 5 (No. 159) - Jordan Jefferson, DT, LSU

Here in Round 5, the Chiefs would be thrilled to see a chance to double-dip at the defensive tackle position with the selection of Jordan Jefferson out of Louisiana State.

Earlier this month, the Chiefs sent Joe Cullen, their own defensive line coach, to work with the kids at LSU in their pro day workouts, so it shouldn't surprise anyone to see them take a Tiger up front in the draft. In this instance, it's Jordan Jefferson, who at 313 lbs. gives the Chiefs a big run-stuffer to hopefully turn into the sort of nose tackle that Keondre Coburn somehow could not or would not become.

The Chiefs have been bringing back Matt Dickerson and Mike Pennel already this offseason in addition to Turk Wharton and Derrick Nnadi, so some fresh meat would work really well here long term. With Jefferson in tow as a run-stopper and Michael Hall as a more versatile disruptor, the Chiefs' floor at iDL would look a lot higher
