Carson Steele is never going to have to buy his own drinks ever again.

It's only the preseason and we've seen players get hyped year after year—just last year it was Justyn Ross and Ihmir Smith-Marsette—but something feels different about the love for Carson Steele. Maybe that's because his name is Carson Steele.

No matter the unconscious decisions why we love Steele so much, the truth is that there are plenty of on-field reasons to fall in love with the Chiefs running back. On Thursday night, in the Chiefs preseason finale against the Chicago Bears, Steele only further ingratiated himself with Chiefs Kingdom with a series of unstoppable runs that only enhanced his reputation as a battering ram made out of gunpowder and thunderclaps.

While Steele looked good anytime he was on the field, check out this play in particular that set social media on fire as well as the entire crowd at Arrowhead.

Steele, who came to the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA, has certainly made the most of his time with the team and seems a lock to make the roster. His addition also brings back the fullback position into the offensive mix for Andy Reid's planning.

As for those older fans who have missed the days of watching Tony Richardson rumble over opposing linemen again and again, we have our new hero.
