Best non-Chiefs matchups, Week 7: Eagles-Dolphins highlight a great week in the NFL
By Grant Tuttle
3. Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Rams
Game time: Sunday, October 22, 3:05 PM CT
Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook: Rams (-3)
TV: Fox/NFL Sunday Ticket
The Steelers have been, by far, the NFL's most unpredictable team. Their wins this year have come against the Browns, Raiders, and Ravens. Their losses have been against the 49ers and the Texans. It is truly unclear whether they will slip into irrelevancy or whether they could enter the playoff picture. The defense has found frequent success and the offense has found frequent disappointment. Against the Rams, they will need their playmakers to come through in a big way.
The Rams have had a great start to the season, considering where many analysts expected them to be. Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, and Kyren Williams have led the offense to great success. With the Steelers coming to town, they are hopeful that they can get a good enough performance from their offensive line to protect Matthew Stafford from the tremendous pass-rushers in Pittsburgh.
The bottom line: Both of these teams are wildly inconsistent. The reason that this game is worth watching is to determine which one of these teams is for real. In the end, I expect the Steelers to be let down (again) by Matt Canada. Give me the Rams in a tight one. I simply can't expect the Steelers to score enough to keep up.
Prediction: Rams 23, Steelers 20
