It's hard to believe the Cincinnati Bengals versus Kansas City Chiefs game should have even more star power on the field than it will in Week 2.

The Chiefs signed wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown to be their WR1 coming into the '24 campaign but placed him on injured reserve on Saturday with the news that he'd miss the rest of the regular season. As for the Bengals, they've watched Tee Higgins sit with a hamstring injury to start the year and the star wideout will be out for Sunday's game as well at Arrowhead.

Even without some major offensive weapons, there should be plenty of fireworks to go with the passion and emotion found on the field every time the Bengals and Chiefs match up these days.

Ja'Marr Chase has a point to make as he pursues a long-term contract extension that will shake up the entire market. Joe Burrow needs a big day to put wrist concerns to rest. Zack Moss could use a productive afternoon in order to step out of Joe Mixon's shadow. A defense with Trey Hendrickson and Logan Wilson are hoping to stop the head-shaking of fans after such a poor tackling effort by the unit against the Patriots.

And that's all on the Bengals side.

As for the Chiefs, you know they're ready to go to work having held in their responses to the Bengals' trash talk all this week. Xavier Worthy hopes to build on his debut effort while Rashee Rice looks to extend a breakout campaign. Travis Kelce wasn't needed much in Week 1, but Cincy will have to account for him on every snap in Week 2. Patrick Mahomes looked sharp in Week 1 and he knows he can put another contender in the rearview mirror early with a strong day at home. And Chris Jones is always looking to feast.

As for player health, the Bengals are the ones coming in a bit more beat up than the Chiefs, so it will be interesting to see who is able to go knowing a few key players were doubtful—including Higgins. Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins was already ruled out, while rookie tackle Amarius Mims and tight end Tanner Hudson joined Higgins in the "doubtful" realm.

For the Chiefs, everyone was a full participant in practice other than Brown, who hit IR after sitting out all week hoping for better reports from the Chiefs training staff. That means players like Trent McDuffie and Nick Bolton who were "dinged" a week ago against the Ravens are back and ready to play.
