Round 3, Pick 95: Cam Hart, CB, Notre Dame

With Sneed leaving town, the Chiefs can continue to make their secondary a strength with Cam Hart.

At 6'3', 203 lbs, and 33-inch arms, Hart is a prototypical Spags fit. Via Mockdraftable, Hart's testing and physical profile compare most to Lonnie Johnson (who the Chiefs traded for in 2022) and Joshua Williams.

While there are some injury concerns with Hart, he's been an excellent cover corner, particularly in man coverage. His long frame allows him to press at the line of scrimmage well. He's not comfortable with his back to the quarterback playing the ball.

The Chiefs have illustrated over the last few years that having a young and deep secondary is important. Games like the infamous Gabe Davis playoff game illustrate what happens when the secondary doesn't have depth. The Chiefs (also against the Bills) were able to lose Mike Edwards in the playoffs this year and not miss a beat.

Cam Hart will have a high floor on this roster with the excellent coaching staff. He has a profile that could lead him to quickly becoming a starting-caliber corner.
