Round 6, Pick 171: Khristian Boyd, IDL, Northern Iowa

Khristian Boyd was a Shrine Bowl standout, but sadly, he was not offered an NFL Combine invite. Built like a bowling ball, Boyd is more than power and strength though. He has a nice arsenal of moves and does a nice job of combining them off the line of scrimmage. Boyd is also a savvy trench tactician.

A reworked interior of Boyd and Fiske goes a long ways to replacing Chris Jones in the aggregate. If the Chiefs are able to retain Jones, Boyd and Fiske would still be viable options. The sole weakness of the Chiefs defense was against the run. These moves help that.
