4 former Chiefs starters who might be done in the NFL
3. Richie James
What was your favorite moment of the Richie James era in Kansas City? Oh you don't have one? Yeah, that's probably a pretty common answer along with "Who is Richie James?"
All jokes aside, James was signed last offseason to help out the wide receiver group but he ended up not being much of a help at all. He had just 10 catches for 114 yards in nine games. He helped out a little bit in the return game, which could help him continue his career elsewhere, but as a receiver, the guy wasn't helpful at all.
James does have a bit of a breakout season in '22 on his resume which might be a recent enough burst of production to lure some team into signing him. However, the Chiefs were desperate for someone to help on offense last year and James failed to step up in a pretty generous scenario.
It wouldn't be a surprise at all to see James' NFL career come to an end.
