Kansas City Chiefs haters are piling it on thick after Patrick Mahomes got blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. After all, this is the first chance they've really had at getting their jabs in at Mahomes and the Chiefs considering K.C. had won the previous two Super Bowls before 59.

Kay Adams said that the Chiefs haters should enjoy laughing about it now because this loss is going to motivate Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs in 2025.

"I think we're underreacting to what this is going to do, to and for, Patrick Mahomes. Make no mistake... This will only fuel him," Adams said on her show Up & Adams. "After [the Chiefs] lost to Cincy in the AFC title game and [Mahomes] lost Tyreek [Hill], he had to hear about the window being closed. Want to know what happened then? He threw for 5,000 yards without him. He won MVP. Went right back to the Super Bowl. Won it. Then he won it again! Then he went back again!"

Adams continued by noting that people like to kick athletes when they're down and notes that Mahomes "isn't down often" so people are getting their blows in now.

"If I'm a fan of one of those other AFC teams that [Mahomes has] tortured over the years, I don't know that I'd be enjoying this one too much and poking the bear with ol' Patty," Adams said. "Patrick's going to come back and unload on everybody next season."

Adams finishes with how the other AFC teams' one goal is "still to take [Mahomes] out", something only the Bengals have been able to do in recent years and even that was three years ago.

Kay Adams warns the rest of the AFC not to laugh at Patrick Mahomes too much

Adams made a great point with all of this. The last time Mahomes got beat in the playoffs before this Super Bowl loss was in the AFC Championship Game in 2022 when the Bengals came into Arrowhead and stunned the Chiefs. As Adams mentioned, Mahomes then went on to win MVP the next season and led the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl where they prevailed over Philadelphia.

The next year, despite the offense not playing well, the Chiefs got back to the Super Bowl and Mahomes was clutch when he needed to be, winning yet another Super Bowl ring. He's not the kind of guy others should be kicking when he's down but hey, let's hope he comes back swinging just like he did two years ago because Revenge Mode Mahomes is the best kind.
