As the 2026 NFL regular season creeps closer, Disney and the NFL have teamed up to give every team in the league its own character as part of their latest merchandise collaboration. Its official name is the Disney x Champion NFL Collection, which fans can now purchase online at Disney's official store and NFL Shop.
You're probably wondering which character our fearless Chiefs were assigned. That would be the Big Bad Wolf of Three Little Pigs fame. You know, the wolf that huffed and puffed and blew the house down? Yeah, that wolf. That's the one that has been assigned as the Chiefs' character and, you know what? It works perfectly!
First and foremost, the Chiefs' mascot is literally a wolf. KC Wolf has been the team's official mascot since 1989. That right there makes it a perfect fit.

Of course, the association almost certainly wasn't part of Disney's selection process but it's a notable layer.
So yeah, when taking all of those things into account, the Big Bad Wolf makes a lot of sense as the Chiefs' assigned Disney character, right? This is a team that everyone has grown to hate in recent years (winning will do that), and its mascot is literally a wolf. To quote Chandler Bing from Friends: "Could this match BE any better?"
Sure, it might have been more fun to have been assigned an Avenger like the Patriots, who got Captain America, or an X-Men character like Beast, who was paired with the Bills, but the actual pairing of the Chiefs and the Big Bad Wolf is as good as any in the entire collection. The character fits the franchise in a way that is immediately recognizable without feeling forced. Now let's hope our Chiefs huff and puff and blow other teams out in 2026.
