Omarr Norman-Lott is going to be tired by the time the 2025 NFL Draft is over.

Norman-Lott, a defensive lineman from Tennessee, is getting a significant amount of pre-draft interest from NFL franchises as front offices across the league prepare for the late-April event. The Kansas City Chiefs are just one of several teams who are bringing in Norman-Lott for a private workout and visit in the next couple of weeks.

NFL reporter Ian Rapoport has word that the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are checking in on Norman-Lott next week. This workout comes after top 30 visits with the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As we said, Norman-Lott is going to be tired.

Could the Chiefs finally get something right along the defensive interior?

Norman-Lott comes to the NFL as a rotational lineman from Tennessee with 9.5 sacks over the last two years for the Vols. He brings some front-line versatility to the mix having played at various spots up front for Tennessee, but it's hard to project him for starting reps at the next level given how he was a specialist at the college level.

As for his potential fit with the Chiefs, the team could use any and all competitors along the defensive line. The Chiefs could use a young asset on the edge in the draft, but the interior is especially thin with Chris Jones and a cast of one-year signings. The Chiefs lost Derrick Nnadi to the New York Jets in free agency, but brought in Jerry Tillery while bringing back Mike Pennel and Marlon Tuipulotu.

The Chiefs have had issues when trying to add cost-controlled talent along the interior defensive line. Keondre Coburn was drafted then released quickly into his rookie season. The Chiefs also traded for Neil Farrell in 2023 from the Las Vegas Raiders only to cast him aside as well. Perhaps Norman-Lott could be a long-term answer for the Chiefs, even in a rotational role.
