Undefeated no more. The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the 2026 season on Sunday night, losing to the Seattle Seahawks in brutal fashion.

Before that ugly loss, the Chiefs were riding high with a 5-0 record after collecting three wins against division rivals and also beating the Colts and Dolphins. The Seahawks gave them their toughest test yet, especially with it being a primetime game on the road in a notoriously difficult place to play.

As we now know, it didn't end well for our Chiefs. They lost 20-3, but it felt like the score was even more lopsided than that.

Losing is never fun, and the loss was a pretty gross one. But it's not the end of the world, and the sky is not falling by any means. DraftKings backed that up with its latest Super Bowl odds, giving the Chiefs the third-best odds to win the whole dang thing in February.

The Chiefs might have lost, but their odds didn't take much of a hit from where they were a week ago. Last week, they were tied with the Bills for the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 61 at +750, so, all things considered, the loss didn't hurt their chances too much.

Strangely enough, the team somehow surpassed the Bills in the best odds to win the AFC, as Buffalo held the best odds a week ago at +395 while Kansas City's were at +440. The Bills were on a bye this week, in case you were wondering.

As for the best odds to win the AFC West, the Chiefs lead those odds as well, sitting at -205 to be at the top of the division when the regular season concludes. The Broncos are in second at +170, and then there's a huge gap between them and the Raiders at +2700 and the last-place Chargers at +15000. The Chiefs' and Broncos' division odds will move drastically this weekend, as the two play on Sunday in Denver.

There's still a lot of football left to be played, and the Chiefs, while 5-1, showed that they have their fair share of weaknesses. DraftKings doesn't seem to be too worried about them in the grand scheme of things, though, and a lot of that comes with this team historically figuring out ways to dig themselves out of holes.

Again, the odds should take a bigger swing this weekend depending on how that Chiefs-Broncos game turns out. If the Chiefs lose and drop to 5-2, they'd be in second place in the AFC West, and their Super Bowl odds would likely take another hit. A big game ahead indeed.
