The Kansas City Chiefs hosted their annual local pro day on Tuesday, bringing in 37 area prospects to work out in front of the team's coaching staff and scouts. Each participant either attended a local high school or played college ball at a nearby university, giving the Chiefs an up-close look at regional talent ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft later this month.

The group was anchored by a heavy Kansas contingent (16 players), followed by Kansas State (nine) and Missouri (eight), with four additional prospects who attended local high schools before playing elsewhere at Wyoming, Wisconsin, Tulane, and West Virginia.

Thirty-seven is a substantial number that includes every position from quarterback to long snapper, but a few names of note were among the lot of prospects. Here are a few names to keep in mind as draft day nears, players who hoped they helped themselves enough to hear their names called in late April.

Kevin Coleman, WR, Missouri

The Chiefs have already taken a closer look at Kevin Coleman, so at this point, they're just seeing how he fares against a larger group of fellow draft hopefuls. The speedy wide receiver clocked in a sub-4.4-second time in the 40-yard dash at Missouri's pro day, and he's earned one of 30 allowed pre-draft visits for K.C. His profile as a receiver and returner plays in his favor as the Chiefs look at likely competition for Nikko Remigio for 2026.

Emmanuel Henderson, WR, Kansas

Speaking of return candidates, Emmanuel Henderson popped onto draft radars this season after a breakout campaign with the Jayhawks. He was the team's leading receiver in his lone season in Lawrence with 45 catches for 766 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, and he also averaged 25.3 yards/return on 18 kickoffs with 1 touchdown, which earned him First Team All-Big 12 status as a returner (and Third Team as a wideout). Started his career at Alabama as one of the nation's top-ranked running backs.

Jerand Bradley, WR/TE, Kansas State

K.C. has a history of taking on projects at the tight end position, and turning Bradley from a bigger wide receiver with subpar athleticism into a developmental end zone target at tight end could be something that Chiefs coaches were looking at during his pro day workout. Bradley's production was minimal over the last two years, but he's exhibited good hands in the past with 87 catches and 11 touchdowns with for 1,175 yards over his final two years at Texas Tech (2022-23).

Tori Pride, CB, Missouri

Pride's size (5-10, 185 lbs.) works against an otherwise impressive body (of work) that includes a 10-yard split of 1.51 seconds, a 40-yard dash of 4.32 seconds, and a vertical leap of 37.5 inches. With 16 career pass deflections and 5 interceptions, Pride has a penchant for making plays on the ball and started 12 games last year for the Tigers. Played his first two seasons for Clemson before transferring to Mizzou.
