The Kansas City Chiefs' season has quickly gone from an ideal start to a rocky road after dropping their last two games against Seattle and Denver. This week, the Chiefs hope to get back in front against the Jets, who have dropped their last three games and sit at just 2-6. But while Kansas City is looking to come away with a win, the Jets could also be a trade partner for Kansas City after Sunday's game, ahead of the November 10 trade deadline.

The Jets have entered full rebuild mode after making two blockbuster deals before last year's deadline, trading away Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. The Jets are all but out of the playoff picture, and they will likely look to add draft picks again this offseason. So which players should Chiefs fans keep their eyes on this weekend who could be playing on the other side of the ball after the deadline?

Garrett Wilson, WR

Maybe the most popular name on the Jets heading into the deadline is star wide receiver Garrett Wilson. The Jets extended Wilson in 2025, but that did not stop them from trading Sauce Gardner to the Colts at last year's deadline. Wilson is under contract until 2030 and posted 1,000-yard seasons in each of his first three years. The barrier to the Chiefs trading for Wilson will be the price, and if the Jets are asking for more than a first-round pick, Kansas City would likely be wise to stay away.

Adonai Mitchell, WR

A young receiver who has already been traded once, Adonai Mitchell has flashed incredible talent but has struggled to find consistency in the NFL. Mitchell was sent to the Jets as part of the Sauce Gardner trade despite being in the second year of his rookie deal. Mitchell could be on the move again if the Jets think they can get the right value. Drops have always been Mitchell's issue, but his size and athleticism could appeal to Brett Veach as the Chiefs look to add an outside threat.

Chukwuma Okorafor, OT

The Chiefs have a major need at offensive tackle, and a veteran like Okorafor could be appealing to Kansas City’s front office. Okorafor's biggest issue is off-field behavior, as he's been involved in a lot of “drama” at each of his previous stops. Kansas City would likely stay away, as they already have a lot of uncertainty at offensive tackle, but if they feel Okorafor has moved in the right direction, they could bring him in on a low-value trade.

Kingsley Enagbare, DL

The Chiefs made major investments at defensive end recently but could bring in even more help for the right price. Enagbare was one of my favorite players in the 2022 draft and has quietly been a very reliable defensive end between his time with the Packers and Jets. Steve Spagnuolo loves big, strong defensive linemen, and Enagbare fits that bill to a tee. If Kansas City feels they need more depth on the defensive line, Enagbare is on a one-year deal and could be added for a low price. He could also be a candidate for an extension at the end of the year.

Dane Belton, DB

The Chiefs need safety depth incredibly badly, and the Jets have a couple of options. Dane Belton is a tackling machine, logging 120 total tackles with the Giants last year and already 68 for the Jets this year. Belton is on a one-year deal with no major cap hit, so Kansas City could acquire him for a minimal price. The Chiefs love safeties who can play in the box and tackle hard, and Belton could plug right in and make an impact on their defense.

Malachi Moore, DB

The Jets’ 2025 fourth-round pick finished second on the team in tackles as a rookie last season with 101 total but has struggled to find a consistent role in 2026. Like Belton, Moore would be a good fit in the Chiefs' defense because of his box skills and ability to tackle in space. Moore still has two years on his rookie deal after the 2026 season and could be a long-term investment by the Chiefs for the back end of their defense.
