The National Football League will soon reveal the official schedule for the 2023 regular season, and we’ll have all your details covered here for the Kansas City Chiefs.

After the start of a new league year, the initial frenzy of free agency, and the first-year player draft, the very next major stop on the NFL’s offseason schedule is the official announcement of the regular season schedule. To be honest, it all comes out beforehand in a sort of slow leak (schedule titration) versus any sort of grand reveal, but it’s still a moment to pause nonetheless.

The regular-season schedule is the pathway by which the Kansas City Chiefs and every other team must take to enter the postseason. For the Chiefs, it’s been a difficult journey most years since Patrick Mahomes arrived, but such is life when you’ve won your division for seven consecutive seasons.

This year is going to be no different with numerous regular-season games resembling late postseason contests. Arrowhead Stadium is going to host some of the year’s most anticipated contests, including visits from the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and Philadelphia Eagles. Tyreek Hill will also return to K.C. for the first time since the trade that sent him to Miami.

The road will be quite a bit kinder to the Chiefs, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely out of the woods. With Aaron Rodgers in New York, the Jets are going to be a real challenge and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be interesting to see once again. Plus it’s not as if the Chargers, Broncos, or Raiders are going to roll over without a fight. And of course, we’re going to Germany!

The full NFL schedule reveal is still not coming until May 11, but we know plenty already. Check out below for the latest information!

The Chiefs will play their first game in Germany

A few years ago, the NFL had every team apply to market themselves internationally in the regions they wanted, and the Chiefs applied for Mexico and Germany and were awarded both. It means several things for K.C. including local sponsorships, youth football programs, athlete appearances, and actual games played. The Chiefs will visit this year and they’ve announced their opponent will be the Miami Dolphins.

Will Germany steal a home game from Arrowhead?

No, not really. Remember, we’re into 17-game regular seasons now, which means every team will have one more home or road game than the other. And because of that, the Chiefs are in line for “nine” home games. That makes it ideal to take one of those and use it in Germany. As for the real home games…

The biggest game on New Year’s Eve

Other than perhaps the Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles, the biggest game on the Chiefs’ schedule is yet another showdown against the Cincinnati Bengal set for Arrowhead. That stage has been set early, or at least it leaked as much, with word coming that the Bengals will visit the Chiefs on New Year’s Eve in the late afternoon slot at 3:25 C.T.
