Tim Patrick seems to dislike the Chiefs for some reason

Denver Broncos receiver Tim Patrick doesn’t care too much for the Chiefs but he also seems to get it.
Tim Patrick hasn’t even been around in Denver for all of the misery, but it doesn’t seem to matter. He doesn’t care for the Kansas City Chiefs.
As a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos since midway through the 2017 regular season, Patrick has played the Chiefs on 12 separate occasions, and each time he’s gone home with the losing team. That’s 12 consecutive times to hang your head. That’s 12 consecutive times you’ve watched the other team celebrate. That’s 12 separate times you’ve rallied to think a win might be possible only to discover you still haven’t figured out Andy Reid.
If it’s any consolation to Patrick, at least he didn’t have to be around for the first three losses in the incredible 15-game losing streak that’s still in place to K.C. heading into another season in ’23.
Patrick recently sat down with the host of the Broncos Avenue podcast to talk about a number of topics, but the AFC West eventually came up near the end and Patrick made it clear he didn’t care for either the Chiefs or Raiders. But at least Patrick seems to get why the Chiefs can rub him the wrong way since their confidence is well-founded. As for the Raiders…
“I don’t like either of them, honestly. They both do it in different ways. The Chiefs do it in a cocky way. They have every right to be cocky, but to be cocky and not good, it rubs me the wrong way,” said Patrick. After further taking a moment to pause and put things in a “politically correct” way, he continued. “I’m not a fan of the Raiders. I’m not a fan of the Chiefs. Chiefs are cocky little s–ts”
To Patrick’s credit, he’s certainly tried with a couple of nice games against the Chiefs over time. In the final week of the ’21 season, Patrick put up a strong effort with 6 catches for 95 yards in a close four-point loss at home. He also caught two touchdowns against the Chiefs back in Week 12 of the 2020 campaign in a six-point loss on the road. He’s also been on injured reserve for three of those games.
Now Patrick and the rest of the Broncos faithful are putting their hope in (another) coaching change hoping Sean Payton can be the answer to the team’s long-term concerns. We’ll see if it helps or not, but given the Chiefs’ position as defending champs, Tim Patrick is likely going to have even more reasons to hate the Chiefs after this season.
