Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee

If you’re looking for someone other than a defensive lineman for the Chiefs, the latest mock draft from Lance Zierlein at the league’s official site has a name to consider at wide receiver in Cedric Tillman.

Tillman is an impressive specimen out of Tennessee who had his final season ruined by a high ankle sprain suffered early in the year that either kept him out or limited him even after he returned. That said, he still had 37 catches for 417 yards and 3 touchdowns and put up 1,081 yard and 12 scores last season when fully healthy.

With Tillman, the Chiefs would be getting a tough pass catcher who wins with an explosive burst and great hands, not to mention his solid size at 6’3, 213 lbs. He would round out the Chiefs receiving corps as an obvious x receiver who can play outside and win on a regular basis, especially with Patrick Mahomes delivering the ball.

The Chiefs could use a reliable option who can feast on intermediate routes, especially with Kadarius Toney and Marquez Valdes-Scantling making defenses respect the deep ball. Together with Skyy Moore and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs receivers would be set for this year while Tillman would likely grow into a top target for years to come.
