Malik Cunningham, Louisville

Projected Round: 7-Undrafted

Fit into Andy Reid’s offense: Low

Analysis: I have to admit, this one would be a project. With that in mind, the athletic traits that Malik Cunningham possesses are incredible. While he has a smaller frame, his ability to make plays with his mobility are very good. That, however, is the only thing that he is elite at. His throwing mechanics are at a lower level than they should be and his accuracy is spotty at best.

If there is anyone that could get the best out of a player and make them a proficient passer, it’s Andy Reid. With help from Reid, Matt Nagy, and Patrick Mahomes, Cunningham could become a very intriguing backup that could be cost-controlled and effective in some spread looks.

Malik Cunningham will likely never be a threat to anyone’s starting job, but in the right system and the right help, he could be a functional backup. It would be a little surprising if Kansas City went with Cunningham, but it would certainly be intriguing.
