The legal tampering window is open for NFL free agency and the Kansas City Chiefs have already struck one big deal with rumors for more.
The Kansas City Chiefs got things off to a quick start in free agency in ’23 with one of the biggest moves announced thus far, despite the fact that they’re the defending champs from Super Bowl LVII. With a massive four-year deal for offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor, the Chiefs made quick work of their biggest need at left tackle and kept the market from dictating their options up front on offense.
The move to sign Taylor also meant waving goodbye to Orlando Brown Jr. and saying no to other rumored options that were on the table. The Chiefs also watched last year’s starter at right tackle leave in free agency with a new three-year deal with the Washington Commanders.
On the latest episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Matt Conner and Sterling Holmes break down the early moves in free agency from the Chiefs during the “legal tampering period” and weigh in on rumors floating around—from Laremy Tunsil to DeAndre Hopkins. We also discuss the moves we think are coming next and what to expect at various positions.
