The Kansas City Chiefs will hear from their head coach and general manager on Tuesday from Indianapolis.
The Kansas City Chiefs have had less time to focus as an organization on the offseason than 30 other teams in the NFL given their run to a second Super Bowl win in the last four years. While they wouldn’t have it any other way, the Chiefs’ brass will be busy this week in Indianapolis as they attend the 2023 NFL Combine.
Not only are the Chiefs going to interview prospects, review their medicals, watch players go through drills, and likely negotiate contracts with agents, but they will also speak to the media. Specifically, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach will be holding individual media sessions in Indy to take questions from reporters.
It’s hard to tell whether or not the live broadcast will carry the individual press conferences of Reid and Veach or not. That’s due to the fact that several pressers are going on at the same most days, which could make it hard for the league to decide who gets face time. It cannot hurt for the Chiefs to be the best team in the NFL, however.
Reid will officially take to the podium to answer questions at 11:00 a.m. C.T. and Veach will appear immediately following at 11:15, so the whole thing will only take 30 minutes total. That said, each session should yield quite a bit of information, including perhaps some answers on where things stand with multiple free agents—from Jerick McKinnon to JuJu Smith-Schuster to Orlando Brown Jr.
