Chiefs vs. Eagles best NFL prop bets for Super Bowl 57 (Trust Travis Kelce)
By Josh Yourish
It’s still early, we’ve got a while until the Super Bowl is finally here and frankly I’m still digesting the AFC Championship game a bit, but it’s time to look ahead because there’s value out there.
With so much time and so many injuries to Kansas City’s receivers, it’s hard to know who will be out there come game time. Yet, the books have set prop lines and there are a few that I’m ready to jump all over.
Here are three of my favorite Chiefs prop bets for the Super Bowl against the Eagles.
Best prop bets for Chiefs vs. Eagles
- Travis Kelce over 75.5 receiving yards (-125)
- Patrick Mahomes over 15.5 rushing yards (-115)
- Jerrick McKinnon under 22.5 receiving yards (-110)
Travis Kelce over 77.5 receiving yards (-120)
I mean it’s Travis Kelce, you know, the second greatest playoff receiver of all-time who happens to be a tight end and not even a wide receiver. Neither Kelce, nor Patrick Mahomes were 100% in the AFC Championship game, and yet, Kelce finished with seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown.
They are automatic, and in the biggest game of the year, Mahomes is going to lean on Kelce even more. Especially with the uncertainty at receiver coming out of the battle with the Bengals.
Patrick Mahomes over 15.5 rushing yards (-115)
I’m not sure how fast Mahomes ran in the 40-yard dash at the combine, but I’m sure it’s faster than whoever is chasing him at any given moment.
It seems like no matter what he’s able to escape and make a play with his legs whenever he needs to. He only ran it three times for eight yards against Cincy, but his ankle will be healthier with two weeks of rest before the Super Bowl.
Jerrick McKinnon under 22.5 receiving yards (-110)
I don’t love to fade any players on Kansas City, but this one is for a good reason.
The reason is that Isiah Pacheco is a star, and we saw it in the AFC Championship. The guy simply refuses to get tackled and while he only had 26 yards on 10 carries, he caught five balls for 59 yards.
Andy Reid is going to watch that film and ask himself why McKinnon or Ronald Jones II ever take snaps over Pacheco.
