After a seventh straight division title for the KC Chiefs, what does a 2023 NFL mock draft look like for them and what positions could they target?

The Kansas City Chiefs are now prepping for, hopefully, another deep playoff run that will last well into February. Even though they are one of the best teams in the NFL, they still have needs on the roster that should be addressed this upcoming offseason, including in the draft. The team has numerous area scouts that have attended countless NFL games throughout the college football season. Parts of the front office have already begun preparing, although the coaching staff won’t get involved until after the season has concluded, for obvious reasons.

In 2023, the NFL Draft is coming to Union Station in Kansas City, and the Chiefs are set to host the premier event of the offseason.

What positions will Kansas City be interested in and which college prospects should fans look out for as potential future Chiefs? Which slots are the team currently projected to pick? Let’s answer all of those questions with a way-too-early 2023 mock draft.

This will be a five-round mock (without strades), through NFL Mock Draft Database’s Mock Draft Simulator, and they have Kansas City slated to pick 30th, 62nd, 94th, 123rd (from Miami), 132nd, and 165th overall. Also, due to the Miami Dolphins losing their 2023 first-round pick for tampering, every pick was moved up one spot. There will also be no trades and every pick will be made without knowledge or assumptions of any other potential offseason transactions.

Without further ado, let’s get started.
