The Kansas City Chiefs are the AFC’s top seed and have the week off, but there’s plenty of playoff talk to be had.

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t playing this weekend, and that’s a very, very good thing for the franchise’s chances to make it all the way to Super Bowl 57 (or LVII if you’re into Roman numerals).

The ability to earn a week of rest at this stage of a season that is exhausting on the mind and body is a major leg up, especially as the rest of the division takes another big swing against one another in the Wild Card round.

The good news is that the Chiefs were looking very ready for the postseason in their final tune-up before the playoffs began, a final Week 18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on the road. The Chiefs hammered them with excellent play on both sides of the ball and they avoided the miscues that had plagued them on special teams as well.

On this latest episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Matt Verderame and Patrick Allen break down the Chiefs’ readiness for the Divisional Round and give their take on what to expect going forward.
