The Kansas City Chiefs are dealing with another injury as the season nears its close. L’Jarius Sneed has a minor hip pointer, per a report.

The Kansas City Chiefs came into Week 17 looking about as healthy as a team can expect with only two more games to play. While they came away with an important win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, they are dealing with a few more injuries that could raise further concerns, and the latest bit of news adds cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to the list.

The official word from NFL reporter Ian Rapoport says Sneed is dealing with a “minor” injury, a hip pointer that leaves him “day to day” for the Chiefs.

Sneed showed just how important he can be for the Chiefs on Sunday with an interception of Russell Wilson that he ran back 25 yards. On the year so far, he has a career-high 11 pass deflections and 3.5 sacks to go with 3 INTs and 104 total tackles in a breakout season. To some fans, Sneed was snubbed by this year’s Pro Bowl roster and he looks poised to break out on a national level with a solid postseason.

The Chiefs also lost Joe Thuney, their starting left guard who did make the Pro Bowl, to the same ankle injury that knocked him out for a couple of games. Thuney came back onto the field with a re-wrapped ankle, but the Chiefs might want him to take it easy in the final week of the regular season.

Head coach Andy Reid also noted after the game on Sunday that rookie wide receiver Skyy Moore suffered a lacerated hand and his status will be something to watch going forward as well.
