Kansas City Chiefs fans may not see these three players on gameday again this season, for various reasons.

I don’t want to think about it, but the Kansas City Chiefs season is deep into its second half. After spending all spring and summer waiting for the next regular season, it’s easy to take the football season for granted. Chiefs fans are lucky, though. Other teams’ seasons end in early January or even early December, like the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs’ routine deep playoff runs give fans more games and more satisfying seasons year in and year out.

As the season goes along, the Chiefs roster undergoes some big changes and sees several new faces. The Chiefs have had their fair share of flux on the game-day roster in 2022. Practice squad elevations are regular occurrences, while injuries to the defensive backfield and receiving corps make those elevations even more key. Veterans like wide receiver Marcus Kemp and linebacker Elijah Lee have contributed on Sundays despite being off the 53-man roster.

While players like offensive tackle Lucas Niang and cornerback Trent McDuffie have both made returns from their injuries, there are others who were not so lucky. Defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton, who suffered a torn ACL in Week 5, is a prime example. Who are some other Chiefs players, injured or not, who fans will not see on gameday again this season?
