Las Vegas Raiders
Wow that was an embarrassing day for the Raiders! I loved every single minute of it!
The Raiders traveled to New Orleans to take on Andy Dalton and the Saints. Honestly, the Saints are a bit of a mess as they have injuries and just don’t really feel like a complete team. The Raiders, it appeared, were playing better and coming off a pretty solid win against Houston. I thought maybe they had something figured out. Boy, was I wrong.
The Raiders could do nothing—not a single thing—against New Orleans. They scored zeroo points and thank god I was on my bye week for fantasy football because Josh Jacobs could have ended my perfect season. What was maybe even more surprising was the absolute lack of production from Davante Adams.
Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the game and that’s his stat line? The Packers should have called about a trade before the deadline. What a waste.
The Raiders now sit at 2-5 and in last place in the division. If they don’t win out, they could miss the playoffs with how competitive the AFC is this year. They certainly aren’t doing anything to convince people that this team will compete for the AFC West crown. Who knows what is going on because the team is talented, but they certainly aren’t putting it together on the field.
Maybe the Raiders will figure something out next week when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars were active at the trade deadline scooping up Calvin Ridley, but he is suspended so we won’t see the team make up change before Sunday’s game. The biggest thing is that the Raiders need to force Trevor Lawrence to make mistakes. With Maxx Crosby rushing, they just might be able to do that.
