Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off the early bye of the season – I hate early byes because it makes the rest of the season that much longer so for the Raiders, this isn’t ideal. However, they were coming off a stunning defeat at Arrowhead so they probably needed the time to rest and see a therapist.

The big story throughout the Raiders bye week was, of course, the Davante Adams charge. He pushed a camera man at Arrowhead after the loss and was charged with a misdemeanor. Seems to be fitting in just fine with the Silver and Black…

We’ll see if he gets any sort of suspension, but this is an unnecessary distraction for a team that is trying to claw its way back from an abysmal start.

We also saw the Raiders place cornerback Nate Hobbs on IR after breaking bones in his hand during the loss to the Chiefs.

Injuries to your secondary, especially in the AFC West with great quarterbacks, is never ideal.

However, the Raiders do get a bit of a break as they take on the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Texans are a weird team and not very good. I have zero faith in Davis Mills being a long-term solution to their quarterback problem. Because of that, I think that the Raiders will win on Sunday, especially being as rested as they are.

They will need to put together a string of wins to remain in the conversation for the playoffs, however.
